PLEASE READ everything below for details.
1. Due to demand Ainslie’s books open up once every month or so for a short window to allow new pieces to be scheduled.
The “open book day” will always be announced ahead of time on the Vintage Karma Facebook page.
2. You will have to come in, call, message, or email us and let us know what your idea is. Due to demand, smaller work or pieces better suited to Killian or Caleb will be referred for them to do. Ainslie appreciates and is humbled by all the demand for his work over the past several years but is focusing on large multisession projects, more involved difficult coverups, and larger scale single session pieces at this time.
3. If your concept if approved we will book the consultation for you. We will get the $50 non refundable deposit toward your tattoo at this time. We can take your cash/card in person or card over the phone. After the consultation we will book your tattoo appointment(s).
4. If you contact us after the window and books are closed, don’t fret! We will give you the date the following month that we will be opening up books again so you can try back.
May the odds be ever in your favor!
Other general VK policies:
The money for a deposit goes toward the price of your piece. Deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable and apply to the design you and your artist have agreed upon. We accept cash and credit/debit cards.
Once you have met with your artist for a consultation, minor tweaks and changes can be made to your design. If you decide that you want a completely different design, this will require another consultation and deposit. You will lose your original deposit.
You must be 18+ to be tattooed in the state of Illinois. We cannot tattoo anyone who does not have a state or government-issued photo ID with them, so please don’t forget your ID on the day of your appointment for paperwork.
Please note no unattended or disruptive children are allowed in the tattoo studio. In order for our artists to do their absolute best when working with you, we need to maintain a comfortable, relaxing setting for everyone involved.
We will NOT perform any tattoo on persons we suspect of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. You lose your deposit and have to reschedule if this happens.
If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, unfortunately, you will lose your deposit and have to reschedule your appointment.
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please give us 48 hours’ notice. Without a 48 hours’ notice, you will lose your deposit.
If you cancel at least 48 hours’ ahead of time, you are allowed one reschedule. That appointment must be made within 30 days of the cancellation. If you cannot make it to your rescheduled appointment, you will lose your deposit.
